Senior Activities
Hours of Operation
Senior center activities services are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Ceramics/ Arts and Crafts Classes
These activities are provided Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. The activities enhance the seniors’ dexterity and motor skills.
Computer Classes
Computer classes are taught Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Clients are taught the basic computer skills.
Exercise Classes
Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Age appropriate exercise programs are available to individuals age 60 and older.
Outreach Services
Senior services are provided on the 3rd Thursday of each month by Pilgrim Missionay Baptist Church. Our outreach services are also in partnership with Saint Paul AME Church and Saint Mark Baptist Church, where hand crafts and crocheting are taught to seniors.
Life Enrichment Session
This seminar is offered on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The speaker provides inspiring words of encouragement to the seniors.
Support Group
The Support Group is consisted of personnel, private consultations, or group discussions to motivate and uplift individuals through learning and listening activities, peer to peer support, and grief counseling.
Senior Choir
The Senior Choir is comprised of members, who enjoy singing at the center on various occasions and at community functions.
Senior Drama Club
The drama club is consisted of senior proposals with line dancing, bridge, golf, and a future bowling league.
Cinema Friday
Seniors enjoy movies and snacks 2 times per month . Show time is from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
